International Conference “Atheism and the Meaning of Life”

April 8 @ 2:00 pm - April 10 @ 12:30 pm

The International Conference “Atheism and the Meaning of Life” explores how life can be meaningful in secular, post-metaphysical, or atheistic contexts. It addresses moral and existential resources without reliance on transcendence, the conditions for human motivation, fulfillment, and life goals, and the implications of questioning metaphysical assumptions for ethics and life choices. The conference brings together diverse philosophical perspectives, including analytic, continental, naturalistic, existentialist, and non-theistic approaches. Topics also include ethical autonomy, antinatalism, and the challenges of reflecting on meaning and purpose in pluralistic, secular societies.
